Hi there, here is another idea for a Jamstix 2 skin, a bit more retro electronic is the intention, though I am not quite sure what that means.
The included screen shot shows a very early look on such an idea. Expect the whole thing to change a lot (on all aspects), before any release, which again will not be any time soon. First I want to finish the Neostix skin, but I thought just share it anyway, might give somebody else some ideas.
Regards,
Lucky
PS: The image also shows some of the transparency challenges that need to be addressed when skinning.

This is your best yet!
I'd still love to see you get away from those neon colors, but your orange screen background is awesome! I liked the screen background colors on your techno skin as well. Nice! _________________ Rock softly and carry a big stick. Wait, what am I saying? Don't Rock softly. - Rock Churchill |

| Great job! I agree with Hewitt Huntwork that the neon colors are a bit much for my eyes. But you're the artist, so go with it! |

Thanks for the feedback.
Don't worry too much about the neon colors; the hit symbols come straight from the Nihilistic skin and act just as a reference. In general the hit symbols are very tricky to design, as they are with many, are very tiny, no apparent transparency and get additional color coding dynamically. Frankly, a design nightmare....
I'll try and do some research on vintage guitar effects to get some ideas for colors and such.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I have had little time to work on it due to other commitments. Furthermore I am still struggling a bit with a few skinning 'challenges' in Jamstix. But rest assured that I will continu to work on it; it only takes a bit more time than I was hoping. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
