I'm encountering a problem with my purchased version of JS2 (the demo didn't do this) where if I change anything, most notably if I change the active drummer or style, the drums stop grooving and play nothing but hi hat accents and fills. In other words, the kick and snare disappear- they are no longer triggered by the drummer at all. I've done the "forced" recompose and tried each drummer- the outcome is the same for all of them- no core groove, hi hat pulse and occasional fill.
This makes for some interesting fusion stuff, but it's not going to be very usable in the long run. I'm new to this- what am I doing wrong? Again, the demo didn't do this.
Also, if I use a quickstart and leave it alone, it will groove with the defaults without any problems. As soon as I change the drummer, the problem is seen, and even if I immediately go back to "Charlie", the problem remains.
Thanks! |

This sounds like the auto reduction feature of some drummer models, e.g. when the play power gets below a certain value some drummers start to simplify the beat and leave out snares and/or kicks.
Set the jam model to 'jam without input/standard' and increase the play power (big knob on the topleft) to 70%, you should always hear the groove now. |

Also, make sure you have updated to 2.0.19-RC9. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
