In JS1 a really nice feature was that you could set a slider for the variance to be applied to the velocity of the hats giving them a more natural feel.
In JS2 I created a part with the Core Bar having hats on the 16th notes, alternating between the left and right hands by copying the first one. At this point they are all the same velocity and it sounds machine generated. So I changed the LH hats to be a lower velocity (ie. deleted them all on the LH and then created the first one in the bar, lowered its velocity and then copied it). It sounded better but it needed a bit of variance in velocity to make it sound more natural.
What I wanted to do was vary the velocity of the LH and RH separately or at least vary the hats in general, but could not find any thing like this. I found variances for time but not velocity. Is it possible to do what I am trying to do or do I need to modify manually each hat to get a more random natural feel to the sound based on velocities?
Thanks

Velocity variance is controlled via the 'Velocity Vary' slider in the 'Feel' panel.
Separate hihat variance control may be added to the drummer models in the near future. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
