|
|
Hey friends,
For the life of me, please forgive me if this is so simple. I cannot figure out where to change the midi output channel for JS2. In JS1 I remember it was in the little box that had the option of switching the internal samples off or to use an external vsti. I cannot find the option for Midi output channel. Thanks in advance friends. _________________ Musikman

Thanks man, I found that one out last night. And it worked pretty good using the Drumkits of my Keyboard. But I could only get the midi out via Channel One. Is there a way to change it to another Midi channel?
Brown, gonna try your advice. Thanks friends. _________________ Musikman

Last night I right clicke, clicked, every single possible pop up, and I could not find out how to change the midi out channel that JS outputs through.
I was using Savihost and I could choose the output port thru Savihost, but not the channel through JS. Is this imposible now?
Please excuse me if this is really obvious. _________________ Musikman

Make sure to use Jamstix 2.0.18. The initial JS2 release had a bug where it would always use MIDI channel 1 regardless of your selection in the kit page. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi musikman
If you right click on an instrument in the kit page, from the new page you can select the channel/ch with the up/down arrows.

Ralph, thanks for all the tips. I finally found where you can change the midi output for each drum.
Can I ask you for a favor? Could there be a Global Midi Channel output for JS2? Just like there was in JS1?
That way I don't have to go one drum at a time changing the midi out channel. I would really appreciate it. Hope it can be done. Thank you in advance.
Best,

Just hit the group button switch (golden round arrow icon) to edit-link all sounds and click the channel to the desired level. Repeat for the other sound pages and you're done. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

If it ever is possible, I would love to ask if you could do a Global Midi out put for JS2 please? You can put that one at the very bottom of your list Ralph. The reason is because Sometimes I load another kit and it changes again. So I have to go and do the group midi change and sometimes I forget to do it to some other ones.
Its not a big deal, but I kind of liked that in JS1 where it was just a matter of selecting the global Midi output channel. Or, if possible maybe do that in the INI file or something. Like this would be nice specially when you don't want to load the samples but just send the midi output of JS2 to another hardware device via midi, or even to Ableton live via midi yoke.
THank you in advance. _________________ Musikman
