First I would like to thank you Ralph for your on going support here. Hats off
And thank you to all you guys and girls in here for posting great questions and great answers. Because of you it has made my learning curve much easier. I don't do much posting because it takes me forever to translate from french to english but if I do make a great discovery someday I will post it I promise.
OK now here's what I'm trying to do.
There's only one thing that I've been busting my head for, is how to output the drum so that I can add EQ, Compressors and reverb to each individual drum peaces. Jamstix 2 has a pretty good sound as is but if I could apply MultitrackStudio effect processors for each individual drum peaces to it existing sound, then i would be able to have a better mix for my songs. I hope this can be done somehow. I have enough songs for 2 Cd's and I need to figure something out for mixing individual drums.
In jamstix 2 mixer window I can set the outputs I need.
What is the amount of outputs should I set this to? 4-6-8-10...?
Now when I go to jamstix outputs window, I see all the outputs that was applied in the mixer with each there gain sliders and effect slots.
Do each of these outputs 1=kick 2=snare 3=toms and so on or something like that order?
If so I can mix my individual drum peaces in the output window of jamstix with MultitrackStudio effect processors right?
Thanks

Hi Andre,
if you can wait till next week, the 2nd part of my little drum sound tutorial will be done by then, dealing with individual outs and processing.
For now, best way to enable multiple outs:
-- in the mixer window choose 8 outputs and ambience - "send to last".
-- You might have to reload JS to activate the new output configuration
-- in the center at the top of the kit window you'll see the output routing menu - choose the one at the bottom - 8 outs
-- depending on your host you might have to activate the extra outs, in C4 it'sdone in the VSTi rack.
-- Voila - if you look in your host's mixer, you should see each "class" of kit pieces (kick, snare, toms, hats, ride, crashes, percussion and ambience) having its own mixer channel where you can treat it individually with EQ and FX.
Hope that helps,
Rhino
edited, has to be "in the center at the top of the kit window" , sorry, damn telephone ! |
