I'm trying to understand what happens when using live loops and a free jam. Let's say I have 2 parts of 4 bars and 100 reps each. Both parts are without notes, but have different styles & drummers assigned.

I start jamming in the first part for a few reps and see that notes are created by the brain, then I switch over to the second part for a few reps and then I switch back to the first one.

Now the second time around in part one, what is JS2 doing? Is it playing the notes it previously generated? Is the brain still doing/altering something? I am jamming with Audio Input: are the notes altered the second time around according to the new input velocity?

thanks, Lucky

Composing is only done once per bar but every time a bar is played, JS2 uses the audio analysis to apply velocity, switch rules etc.

So, even though the material is the same, the resulting notes played differ based on your real-time audio input.

Thanks for the info.

Live loops is really working nicely now. It is really cool to choose a style and drummer, copy the parts 3 times, vary the parameters between the parts and of you go! Great job. Makes jamming with a midi foot controller so much more interesting.
