To get things done right I had to export a single bar as a groove and import it into JS2. It worked prefectly. I made me wonder though if that groove files still needs to be there/saved when the song is done (using Sonar). I mean, in the Brain you see the name of the file: what happens if I delete that groove/midifile? Does JS2 needs it still in order to play the song? Or is the groove 'embedded' in JS2/the Sonar project, and can I delete it as soon as I've imported it into JS2? (Hope you know what I mean... ) |

| I'd like to know the answer to that, too. Although I wish the Sonar project would keep all the needed data in its project file, I see windows with Jamstix loading lots of files every time I open a Sonar project... |

... although I wonder why we just don't try deleting the files and then see what happens! |

When you import a MIDI clip, JS2 groove, JS1 rhythm etc. into Jamstix, it is all stored internally and the external file is not needed anymore. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Great: that was the answer I was hoping for.

Ha, yeah, I thought about that too, but I was afraid that maybe the file was copied somewhere to an unknown location (for whatever reason) so that removing the orginal file might SEEM to have no effect, but that using the song or another computer (or after re-installing Windows) might result in errors anyway... You never can be sure enough with computers! |
