|
|
I can't get J2 to load. I'm running it in XPSP2 and had no problems with JS1. At first I tried to install it in my VST directory in a different directory than Jamstix 1. Neither Bidule, Project5, or Savihost can load the dll without bringing up an error message. Litlle more info is given than it cannot load the dll. I uninstalled Jamstix 1 & 2, and re-downloaded the setup program just to be sure, but the same problem persists. Any suggestions?

This is VERY odd. Could you please download the Jamstix 2 demo and see if it runs fine for you? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

With the demo, I have the same problem. Bidule only gives me the message upon scan:
K:\Music\Instruments\VSTi\Rayzoon\Jamstix2\jamstix2_demo.dll caused an error while loading in:
K:\Music\Instruments\VSTi\Rayzoon\Jamstix2\jamstix2_demo.dll
I get the same message with the release version. The plugin is not available in the instrument list after the scan is complete. Similar errors upon scan also occur with Project5 and SaviHost doesn't work at all. Other plugins work fine. |

Problem solved. Something was squirrely in my Windows config. I loaded Windows with a minimal configuration and was able to load the JS2 DLL in SAVIHost. After rebooting in normal mode, everything worked fine. Go figure.
Anyway, this appears to have been my problem, and not Ralph's, although he was very proactive in looking for a solution. Excellent job, Ralph, and sorry for the bother. |
