Sorry if I go into way too much detail about this, but I didnt see it explained in the manual and I want to be clear on what I'm looking at, and whats happening.....

when I'm in the sound editor, under the sound column, you have for example, Kick, Snare Left, Snare Right, etc, etc....and under each sound theres a rectangle with a diagonal line going from corner to corner dividing the box in two. also, next to that is a picture of an ear. Now I noticed theres actually 3 volume levels of auditing the sound here.... the ear is one, which is the loudest volume audit, the white half of the rectangle is another, slighly lower in volume, and then the other half of the rectangle is the lowest volume.

Can anybody explain this?

It's the audit area just as it says in the tooltip. You are auditing at different velocity levels. The further right you go from the ear, the lower the velocity.

Hi scottieboy

It is for auditioning the sound, but it is a scale of volume increasing from left to right.
