I was having problems figuring out how to import a rhythm from JS1. I answered my own question though.
In case anyone else is having some confusion here, here's the walkthrough.

1. Click the drop down above the Groove button.
2. Click 'load groove'.
3. There is a groove actually called 'import'. double click it.
4. There will now be a section called 'groove'.
5. Toggle to 'js1 rhythm'. (where the default selection states 'midi clip')
6. Click on the 'click to load' link below that. Voila there's your rhythms.

By all means correct me if I'm off base.

Also having Jamstix 1 and 2 open concurrently seems to corrupt my Cubase .cpr. Any thoughts on that?

Your steps are correct.

Concerning the CPR corruption: I hadn't experienced this but I would definitely not recommend using Jamstix 1 and 2 in the same project.

Keyword Jam is gone because there is no more groove library. Instead, a style is supposed to be used like a 'key word' since it pertains to a specific subset of playable rhythms.

1. Done
2. No such option here, all I have are
Load Style
Load Drummer,
Map MIDI Controllers,
Show MIDI Controllers
Fill Default Options

3. Not here there isn't
4. See above
5. See above
6. See above

Now, I must be missing something obvious here, but I can't see what Embarassed Could it be due to everything but the Jamstix/Audiom8 1 .dll being installed on my D drive and not with the .dll itself?

Use "Load Style" (you can also just click on the style name in the song sheet or) and then select "Import". Then follow the other steps.

Hi Ralph,

Using "Load Style" just brings up the Load Style dialogue box with the default 50 rhythms.

The good news is, using your second suggestion worked, the bad news is, after I imported a second J1 rhythm, there was no sound Confused

'EDIT'

Scratch that, I've just tried again and it worked ok this time round.

I've been trying to get the import style working for a few days now without much success. This post was very helpful. For some reason I just never saw the "Groove" section at the top of the brain where I could choose to actually do the import. Some ui flow help might be to automatically bring a dialog to choose the imported rhythm. I kept trying to do the import from the groove editor and part editor. Every time the imported part was overwritten. Import is brilliant, just not immediately evident how to use it properly.
