Excellent job Ralph!
I have been running it through the works to see how things are done with this complete rewrite.
It is more much more song friendly.
Your customer service is the best on the planet.
Not only did you refund me money immediately after order the wrong upgrade ( XL when I did not need it) , but you put a bug fix out the same day! (It fixed the 2nd Ezdrummer tom and 2 crash not mapping!) Cool!
Its stability is close but not quite rock solid. (Sonar 6.2 and Jamstix 2.01 with Ezdrummer 1.01 (Dual core 2.6 MHz Intel 2 gig memory, raid drives))
I have had 5 major PC crashes in about 3 hours of use. (Opening windows like drummer, toggle random drum sounds in kits, looping on a bar (most of the crashes are with Ezdrummer as the sound module)) ( had one just now as I write this.) ( I will send more data if I can repeat a crash)
Here are a couple of requests already.
1. Midi Through so you can audition drums and to set the right midi note for a mapping. ( at least in the kit window) ( make it easy for us to set up other Ezdrummer modules like Claustrophobic or Latin)
2. “How to” tutorials to walk through building a song from scratch
3. Select all drummers so you can change the drummer for all song parts at once |

Hi jpettit
You can already achieve item 3 from Song menu/Load drummer.

I'd like #1 as well, if I understand this correctly. I've only spent a few minutes with JS2, but am I right that you can't "play" the drums live using a MIDI controller when it's in jam mode, only in Drum Module mode?
And tutorials would definitely be welcome, esp. videos!
So far this looks very cool, can't wait to spend more time with it!
Thanks-
-Susan |

From what I know both the sound loading crashes as well as the "triggering an external module from kit view" issue are high on the (still rather short ) list.
Ralph has a reputation for unbelievably quick fixes of issues like that, but cut him some slack, he's knee deep in the registration stuff atm (obviously) and still has already released a first hotfix.
I'm pretty sure we're talking about a matter of days here, not weeks.
As far as stability is concerned, can't speak for Sonar, but here in Cubase4 I haven't had any issues lately except for one loading freeze, and Ralph will surely get to the bottom of this and possible Sonar - specific issues very soon.
Cheers,
