Hi
Downloaded the demo the other day onto , my not very fast house computer which I tend to try things out on before tansferring over to the seperate music computer, anyway the house computer only has about 198 of ram & PIII , and so the demo wouldn't go through the setup procedure.
I realise now that you state that your minium ram requirements to be 512 , so is Jamstick very ram heavy , as my music Pc isn't much more powerfull , and will I know eventually need upgrading, but the way I run things at the moment I'm not reaching its limit.
Also have listened to some of the demo's especially the guitar & bfd one , I'm interested to know how much tinkering was needed to get the rythum to play like that , or are you saying that I can plug my guitar into soundcard run through Cubase SX , strum away a riff or two , and Jamstick will literally follow the feel etc ,and interprett accordingly , if so I do believe you have found the Holy Grail !
Thanks in advance

Yes, Jamstix requires 512MB. Also, the Guitar & BFD demo needs about 1.5GB to run flawlessly as BFD needs about 800MB just for itself.
You also need a low-latency system, which requires a faster CPU the more plugins you have running simultaneously.

Well, Jamstix cannot detect 'feel' from an audio input at this time. This would require too much CPU in real-time. This is how the Guitar&BFD was done:
- Set a few sliders in Jamstix to tell it the funkiness, complexity and accentuation I wanted.
- Plugged in Guitar and set effects. Put audioM8 plugin in the track so Jamstix can see the audio volume.
- Started jamming
All the adjustments you hear in the drums are merely the result of Jamstix analyzing the volume of the guitar. In response to that it adjusts its velocity, switches to open hihat or ride when it gets real loud etc. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
