Hi, I recently purchased JS complete with all the extra kits, after being put-off many times by the poor interface... but a new one for version 2 is being promised, so my wallet is somewhat lighter Wink

I am using the beta version, but find myself looking at other drum samplers due to the "muffled" sound from JS. Am I doing something wrong, or are the JS kits naturally muffled Question

If I turn up the Ambience, things improve with the higher frequencies, but way too much reverb. Even Dr Fusion2 (odo synths) sounds bright and crisp Rolling Eyes

The next version may correct this, but it's a way off yet.....

Any chance of a newer beta being posted? the current one is a few months old Laughing

As a new user, I would like to congratulate the developers for this innovative product - well done Very Happy (FWIW - sack the GUI designer and hire an ex AD guy Wink )

That's very odd. Since you have all the Paks, please try the following mappings:

- DrumPak #2 Standard
- SnarePak Tight Funk

and see how they sound to you. If you still find them muffled, send me a MP3 example so I can compare.

Well, AD is also much more expensive than Jamstix Wink

Hopefully you will find the Jamstix 2 interface more pleasant. As far as the sound goes, here's a quick sample of the JS2 stock kit:
