Hi There,
Really enjoying Jamstix since I got in on the groupl buy. I am using it in Tracktion 2.0 and am using the trick where I have an aux bus that feeds the audio M8. I have JS on a separate track. JS responds well to my live audio. I have also recorded some audio and JS jams along with it quite well.
The problem is that I cannot record the JS track MIDI info. If I record the JS track, Tracktion just shows it as blank. I have the "Enable MIDI Output" switched on on the Output panel.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Touch |

I am having the same problem in Tracktion 3.
There must be a solution, but it's going to come from someone smarter than me.
Putting out the call for anyone out there who can help!! |

I don't know Traction, but it must be similar to other recording software.
I use Cubase, where you need to set up a second midi track, with Jamstix as the input (Not the output)
Set that track to Record whilst Jamstix is playing.
You should then have a track with the midi notes from JS.
Change that track to Jamstix as output.
You then need to stop Jamstix from playing internally, so only your new midi track is playing.
Hopefully that works in Tracktion _________________ john-studio64
