Some of you may not want to load the internal sounds everytime Jamstix starts up. You may want to use an external VSTi (BFD,DFHS et.c) or a DrumPak mapping instead.

Here's how to do that:

Load the mapping of choice into Jamstix and then save it to 'default.rdm', overwriting the current file.

Can you do this for a midi-out only setup and not load any samples at all?

If you load the 'Internal Silence' mapping and save it as 'default' then JS won't load any samples.

Maybe a dumb question, but does this only apply to drum VSTi's?

Can say, a set of drum samples be loaded there as well? Like DFH (original sample set) I'm assuming not... just asking Wink

Oh, or what if DFH (original samples) were loaded in a software drum sampler such as the DR-008? Then could this apply?

You can save any mapping (including those using DFH or other modules) as the default mapping.
