I'm having trouble replicating the drum pattern I get when I play a song where jamstix is set to 'jam with midi' if I record the output as a midi track in CubaseLE.
So the song is set up and when I play it I get one particular pattern. If I record the output as a midi track then the pattern is different; for example using an 8th rock beat, when I 'play' the track (i.e. use teh jamming mode) I get lot's of snare hits (which I want), when I record it I get lot's of side-stick.
I want to reproduce the sound I get when I jam, when I mixdown.

When you play back the MIDI track, set Jamstix 2 to 'Drum Module Mode' with 'Map GM' UNchecked. Let me know if this doesn't help. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I was able to get around it; setting the input to drum module was fine. The problem I suppose was that Cubase LE doesn't support drag and drop of the song midi file. Perhaps a 'save song as .mid' option in the song drop down tab might be useful. I was able to export the midi file into Cubase SX and the save it in that and export to Cubase LE (don't ask, I prefer working in the 'lite' version as it's simpler). |
