Hi!
Drummers do play the same beat different if they are playing it in different tempos. Are there functions in Jamstix brain that "know" the feeling of beats in different tempos?

This is an area we are exploring in Jamstix 2, which has a global timing control (push/pull) as well as per-note timing. Currently, the global timing is set by the user and the per-note timing is set by the drummer model so some drummers have a big pocket (large snare delay, smaller hihat delay) while others are slightly ahead of the beat. That's what will be in the initial JS release and it is NOT tempo-dependent. However, you can use the global timing slider manually to nudge JS2 ahead or behind the beat based on the actual tempo.
Down the road we are hoping to release a drummer model with tempo filters where certain notes are pulled closer to or ahead of the beat as tempo increases and vice versa. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
