|
|
Hi Ralph and group,
All was working perfectly with velocity until very recently. I don't know what I've done, but altering the velocity knob is not working. It's taking the overall level of jamstix down / up, but not following my playing style. ie keeping the velocity static. This is also preventing "reduction" from following my playing. Hoping that you can help here, as this is just like playing with boring old samples again...
Thanks,
Gary

| What are you jamming to? Audio or Midi? If you are jamming to Audio, do you have an instance of audioM8 running in your Audio bus? |

Anybody Please?
Maybe I should do a complete reinstall of Jamstix?
Thanks

No need tor reinstall.
Please check the following sliders/boxes in the jam tab:
- Min Velocity all the way left
- Max Velocity all the way right
- Allow Reduction checked
If that doesn't help, try renaming your jamstix.ini file in the Jamstix folder to something else and then relaunching Jamstix. This will cause Jamstix to revert to its default configuration. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for the response Ralph, but none of this makes any difference. It's really got me stumped, i've tried everything I can think of, including altering the power sensitivity slider and all of your suggestions above.
Do you have any other ideas please...
Thanks
Gary

Please send me the file rzdlog.txt from the Jamstix folder.
Also, how exactly are you setting up Jamstix for this:
- what host?
- what MIDI data are you sending to Jamstix?
- what jam mode ('Manual Jam', 'Free Jam' etc.) _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for your time Ralph but I've finally got it working. For some reason, after resetting the Input Velocity Map everything's ok. I don't understand this as I've always played using the Wide setting. I'm relieved that it's now working properly again though. I'll still send the text file if you want...
Thanks again,
Gary

Glad you got it working again. No need for the file then. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
