I updated to version 1.8 but when I opened my projects in Cubase SL3 it froze temporarily showing the egg timer and took ages to initialise the project(s) before I could work on them. It also temporarily froze when I started to work with JS afterwards.
This didn't happen with 1.7xx.
Has this been addressed in 1.81? Should I update again?

Yes, please update to 1.81 which addresses those issues.
