Auto Chimes will not turn off in latin mode

HI,
can not for the life of me get the auto chimes to turn off in latin mode..
This happins in both 1.7 update and the latest beta.
Bug? Im doing something wrong? To be expected as part of the latin thing?

Yes, the chimes are part of the Latinize character. You can turn them off (or down) with the voume control for the Chimes in the mapping tab if necessary.
