My problem...I tweaked around until I had an arragement that worked ok for my song...then recorded it onto a midi track in cubase..now that I have this midi track recorded, i want to modify it (I use cubase which has a drum editor to easily add and remove drum hits) but I can not seem to turn off the original jamstix sounds so that I now hear only the midi data I recorded and modified telling jamstix what to play ...
any help on this step of the drum recording aspect ?
And also isnt this a logical way to use jamstix to arrange a workable beat then record the midi track and make minor modifications thru editors in whatever host/sequencer you're using ? I havent a clue how you could remove every unwanted cymbal hit or put in an extra closed hihat if not thru editing of a midi track.

Thanks

You mentioned this in another thread and I have already answered it there but I'll repeat it here for clarity:

If you want to feed a MIDI stream into Jamstix for playback, set Jamstix to 'Manual Jam' with 'Play Input' and 'Mute Brain' checked.

As a side note: Jamstix 2 will feature a integrated bar editor that will allow you to do a lot of this fine-tuning right inside of Jamstix.

When you switch to 'Manual Jam' two big buttons show up underneath. One is 'Play Input' and the other is 'Mute Brain'.
