Is it possible to have Jamstix send the MIDI out earlier, by a few msec (ideally early by 1 audio buffer)?
Thanks |

You can add an offset to the timing mechanism of Jamstix by adding this line to the [General] section of the jamstix.ini:
TempoOffset=0.25
The offset is in PPQ (parts per quarter) where 1 equals 1 quarter note so the above example would make Jamstix early by a 16th note. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks it works
This fixes a problem with Cubase, as there is no warranty that the MIDI from a VST will make it in the same buffer call, so it is often delayed to the next buffer, with a timestamp of 0, leading to a funny buffer quantization.
But MIDI inserts (VST-MA, MFX) receive the correct midi timing, so I just forward the events by the same amount, so the destination plug (k2 in my case) will receive the midi with proper timestamps, no jitter, no delay.
I know that it would be easier to host K2 in Jamstix, but I like to have everything in a single instance. |
