Hi Ralph, I don't know if it has been asked yet, but are there going to be any new drum sounds or new kits included with Jamstix 2? |

Jamstix 2 will have a new stock kit. It will be a Gretsch kit with StudioX heads (for a modern tom sound), Premier Maple snare with Aquarian head and a full Paragon cymbal set, including 2 splash, 2 crash and 2 chinas. There is also a special focus on the kick recording for this kit to provide a tight, punchy modern sound (AKG 112 to the rescue...) _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I'd like to buy JS, but not sure if now is the best time. I will be unable to really work with it for about half of next year.
Should I wait to buy JS #2 or get one of the packs now w/free upgrade.
Also, I have RIMIV drum VST that has alot of drum sets, I understand that JS can drive it via MIDI out. That's great, but will it create a heavy load for my computer if I run Amplitube, JS and RIMIV? |

Since no one else has responded I'll give you my 2 cents:
If you are 100% sure that you will buy Jamstix 1 or 2 within the next year then you should buy now since the current sale is the lowest price and you'll get JS1 and JS2 for that one low price.
If you are not sure then you may want to wait until you're ready to use JS and then buy, albeit at a likely higher price and without JS1.
Concerning CPU load: any modern machine can handle JS, RMIV and Amplitube at the same time. The exact CPU usage can only be determined by using the JS demo with those products. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, for the reply and info.
I think I'll purchase JS1 $99 or $109 set.
I'm pretty sure I can run all my VSTs.
Thanks again. |

The JS2 stock kit will be miked like DP2 so you will get ambience sounds as well as close stereo sounds for all instruments. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
