| I've been using Jamstix for a couple of weeks (registered version), and for the most part, it works without a glitch. However, one problem I've noticed is when I use Keyboard Jam mode, and hit certain keys on my MIDI controller. usually A3 and up, Reaper freezes up, and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to go to the Task Manager. I can close Reaper (by the way, one weird thing is that in this case, there are usually two instantiations of Reaper showing, even though I only launched one); but a few seconds after Reaper closes, I get a BSOD ("Blue Screen Of Death", an MS "stop error") of DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. The PC then reboots. Can anyone shed light on this error? So far, I've tried disabling my onboard ethernet, but it doesn't make any difference. |

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Stop errors are generally caused by bad hardware or a bad driver. In your case it sounds like a bad driver. Are you using m-audio products with their USB driver? Those are known to cause various problems. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I was having similar problems quite awhile back with a Tascam US122 which went away with a driver update. I've since turfed the US122. _________________ darcyb62 |

| Thanks for the suggestions- no, I'm not using M-Audio stuff; my sound card is an old SB Live! Platinum. But I will check my drivers, and if necessary, I'll re-install a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2. |
