We have reports of Battery 3.0.1 (the latest update) not working properly when subhosted in Jamstix. The symptom is no output in B3 except for sporadic hits. If you have this combo, could you tell us whether it works for you or not? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi,
I´ve been using jamstix with Battery 2 for a while with no problems.
I upgraded to Battery 3 and it simply stopped working. It seems that Jamstix cannot communicate with Battery 3.
The mappings are ok but there is no indication that B3 is receiving Jamstix´s MIDI...No sounds, no flashing lights...No feedback at all.
Thanks guys! |

We're trying to get support from NI on this. In the meantime, try driving B3 via a MIDI track with input=Jamstix output=B3 as a work-around.
Thanks in advance for your patience! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi again.
If B3 is not loaded inside jamstix, How can I load the B3 mappings?
Is there any way I can load the B3 maps in jamstix without loading the plugin?
Thanks. |

Yes, check the box 'MIDI Out Only' before loading a B3 mapping and B3 itself will not be loaded, just the mapping. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Bad news guys!
After some time playing arround with Jamstix and B3 some drum parts stop responding.
I tried to re-map a drum kit and B3 was not responding as it should.
B3 is playing the wrong notes, it is not communicating as it should with MIDI in signals. |

Is this with B3 fed from a MIDI track? If so that would indicate that the Jamstix MIDI output format is not the problem as I suspected. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes.I am on Cubase SX3 and did just what you told me to do.
in=Jamstix out=Battery 3.
It was working in the beggining, with my old Battery 2 mappings and kits but when I tried to create new maps for B3 kits...It´s driving me crazy !!!
The mais problem is.Eg:Jamstix plays G3....Battery 3 plays D#2...... !!AAAhhhrrrrr!!!!
Can you figure out a work arround for it?
Thanks again!Your support is the best! |

This is just a key mapping issue. Manipulate the keys in the JS mapping tab and use 'Audit' until the right sound is triggered in B3.
Make sure 'Map GM Input' is NOT checked in the JS mapping tab. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi
Sorry to interject on this thread, but I was actually wanting to post to see if there were Battery 3 Jamstix drum maps.
Where can I get them?
Cheers |

We just got our B3 copy from NI and have already found the bug. The next Jamstix update will fix this. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I should also mention that a NI employee named Stefan Mueller was EXTREMELY helpful in helping us get a copy to resolve this issue. It's always a pleasure when we encounter people that care at the 'big guys'! _________________ Ralph Zeuner
