The help file give a definition of them but no procedure.
Please include a procedure on how to use them.
Through trial and error and can get on eto start but not stop and no clue on how to tell it what measure to loops on.

Think about LiveLoops mode only as if it were a drummer, without any other accompaniment coming from the host. Just use the host to provide timing (tempo). The rest of the music is played by you, live.

There are basically two ways to get started with LiveLoops
- Let Jamstix create the arrangement, then divide it into loops
- Build the rhythms and loops yourself

Let's say that you're building it yourself. Assume that your song has:
- Intro
- Verse
- Chorus
- Verse
- Chorus
- Ending

Since the Verse and Chorus appear twice, you only have these unique sections to create:
- Intro
- Verse
- Chorus
- Ending

So create the rhythms and arrangement based on those four sections, as if they would be played end-to-end. Then click in the LiveLoops row in the Arranger on the first bar of the Intro. Give it a name, a trigger key, and a length. (Actually, you won't loop the Intro when you're playing, but it's nice to at least label it.)

Then create LiveLoops for the other three sections.

To play, start your host from the beginning (bar 1). Jamstix will follow. Since the Verse follows from the Intro, just let Jamstix play, and then let it continue on into the Chorus.

Before the Chorus ends, hit the Verse trigger key. At this point, Jamstix will automatically enable LiveLoops, play a fill at the end of the Chorus, and then jump to the first bar of the Verse. If you left it alone, Jamstix would then stay in the Verse forever, just looping. But you probably want to go into the Chorus and then to the Ending. So, while Jamstix is in the Verse, turn off LiveLoops by hitting the key that you assigned to that function, or just click the mouse on the checkbox.

Jamstix will now play sequentially through to the Ending.

But if you're really getting into the song, you might want to stay on the Chorus longer. So just hit the Chorus trigger key while in the Chorus, and Jamstix will enable looping again and stay in the Chorus until you tell it what to do. For example, you could turn off LiveLoops and Jamstix will finish the Chorus and then the Ending.

Let me know if this example helps. Next time, I'll show another way of using LiveLoops.

Thanks

This was the part that was not obvious at first.
1. go the start postion of the measure you want to loop
2. enter the loop name and number of measures

When I put in fills or ending etc it seems to replace them when it runs.
I selected use arrangement and manual mode to get it ti stop creating parts on the fly but it still overwrites them. ?

I suggest they add the loop starting measure in the loop create window.
and visually color the loops
