Hello,

I managed to burn the demo to a disk and loaded it into cubase VST version 5. I am only using audio channels, no midi.

I opened a song i previously recorded and can get jamstix to play along a tiny bit in the playback, I selected it in VST instruments, audio M8, but it just does like a little roll every 8 bars or so.

I'm not sure what else to do.

Is the demo that limited so that it's not as full as when you purchase the program? I did get a window to open to choose style of drums and many many more options but perhaps I'm not accessing the demo the correct way.

Thanks!
Christine.

The problem is most likely the volume. Look at the velocity slider in Jamstix and see if it is too far left. If so, you can either follow the trimming instructions in the 'Free Jam Quick Start' PDF in the manual folder or for now you can just click the little lock icon above the velocity slider and move the slider up until the drums sounds strong enough to you.

Once you have that done, I suggest you play with the sliders and boxes in the jam tab and listen to how the rhythm changes in response so you get a feel for the Jamstix 'brain'.

After that I suggest to look at the rhythm tab to see how you can change rhythms and load library rhythms.

After that I'd look at the arranger to see how easily you can add fills to your song where needed (right-click on a cell to add or remove a fill).

We're here to help as you go along.
