I am trying to export the arrangement from Jamstix to a midi file. I am doing this within Tracktion. I am using the export midi file button. As suggested by the Jamstix help, I have played the arrangement through before exporting. I have tried stopping and exporting as well as exporting while playing. Each time I get a short (1 or 2 bars) midi file with no data. I have tried it in EnergyXT as well as Tracktion. No success. This is using 1.71

While I'm at it, if I drag a copy of Jamstix to a track (from the rack), it loses information in some way. The fills sound different and the main rhythm does also. The main problem is the fills though. For example, where there may have been a kick, followed by a snare roll, there is only a single kick and snare.

Instead of dragging it, which gives Tracktion the task of the data recall, try saving the Jamstix to FXB file via 'Save Bank' in Tracktion, then drag and reload the FXB.

Concerning the MIDI file export from Tracktion: it works great here. Could you send me the project file so I can see if I can duplicate it with that? Please send to zauni[at]earthlink.net.

Everyone: Morelia's problem was caused by having MIDI output disabled in the output tab, which also affects MIDI export.
