Glad I don't know anyone here. Song inspired by marriage counselling we went through and my personal baggage revealed. Used Jamstix. Planning to give him a CD of this for our next session. Song is Waiting for Love at following link:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=405294

Lyrics:

Mother I miss love I miss a sweet touch
I feel like a parentless child
We’ve come up empty, you never heard me
You never knew I had style

Waiting for love- my will is always strong
Waiting for love- for you I’m hanging on
So I wait until love’s true

Now I have a love, we try to discover
What is the meaning of love
We’ve come up empty, we never speak free
And still I yearn for her love

Waiting for love- my will is always strong
Waiting for love- for her I’m hanging on
So I wait until love’s true

Any thoughts or comments on production or anything else would be appreciated.

THis was my first song using Jamstix. The reaction on most places I have posted has been very dissapointing. I keep hearing that the drums are frantic and out of place. For those of you using Jamstix, have you obtained tamer and more fitting results? I actually like what Jamstix did here- but the negative reaction was nearly universal. Perhaps I should have mixed the drums into the background??? Any thoughts and advice welcome.

Hi munmun

The mix between the drums and the rest is fine.

The biggest reason why anyone would use Jamstix
is because they don't know too much about drums.

That's the reason I use it.

However, the more you know about drums the better
it will sound.

My suggestion would be to turn down the accent sliders
on everything and keep it as simple as possible.

There are many drumfills that are going against the
vocal rhythm, that doesn't sound too good in my ears.

But, if you like it, keep it.

The rest of the song is fine.

Keep it up and will be better and better
