Hi all,
Jamstix is working great so far, lots of potential (that's more than I can say about the drummers I've been working with lately ).
Great to see Rayzoon has kept all promises and release dates so far.
But I've run into a problem with JS / DFHS 1.41 / SX 3.01, maybe my own fault but I can't find a workaround atm.
Afaik you recommend to use DFHS inside JS so that JS knows it drives DFHS.
When I do this, I get the kick in the left channel of output 1, the snare in the right channel of output 1 and so on - impractical to work with to put it mildly.
Using a library like DFHS with only one stereo output is out of the question - that would be like using a GM module.
So the only way to get the individual outs working correctly seems to be to use MIDI output routed to an externally loaded DFHS - am I correct here ?
Then I can't use JS's DFHS mappings and features plus I can't switch off JS's audio engine and outputs showing in SX ?
Again, might be just user error, please help me sort that out !
Kind regards,
ProfRhino |

The stereo vs. mono issue is something we will address in the future. For now, since you are using Cubase, we recommend that you do not use DFHS inside of Jamstix in your given situation but route the Jamstix MIDI-out to DFHS outside of Jamstix.
Later today we will make 1.01C available on the forum, which will simplify using Jamstix with MIDI-out only and will also solve the issue of letting Jamstix know it is DFHS when it is not loaded inside. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
unbelievable, didn't expect an answer during the holidays, let alone a fix.
The new version you're talking about would be perfectly fine with me, I'd only love to see JS being able to make full use of DFHS via MIDI.
But take your time, if it will be there in a few days I will be happy, too.
What matters most is your obvious interest in your users' problems and questions.
You just sold a copy of Jambace as soon as it is available, no questions asked.
All the best,
