First time trying to use a VST or effects. I'm using a Presonus firepod and Cubase LE. I managed to get Jamstix plugin vst loaded and running. I set audioM8 as an insert effect on the channel I am playing bass guitar through (input 2). I can hear myself, and I see input into the channel in Cubase. But, the audioM8 needle isn't moving. I assume this is not helping the jam function, as it sounds like poo heheh. Help please Smile

Not sure about LE but in SX you'd want to check that 'Direct Monitoring' is off in the device setup for the ASIO in Cubase.

I suspect that I do direct monitoring, my presonus send me my instrument signal to my headphones. In the configuration is says it is manual, which means I can hit a switch to monitor the channel. When I do this I get my bass played back twice, once is slightly delayed. Still no movement of the needle in the effect though.

Another user had the same issue a while ago:

The solution was to uncheck 'Direct Monitoring' in the menu
Devices->device setup->vst multitrack

Hrmm.. that option in that screen is grayed out, I can't change the selection. I'll read through that other thread, thanks.

Make sure you have the right ASIO driver selected.
