I don't understand. Please elaborate on what exactly you want to edit in the ini file.

I want to assign a midi output channel to the kick drum only on Jamstix to trigger a sample on Cyclone.
I tried adding Kick=11 to the .ini file attempting to send the kick midi out to midi out channel 11.
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.
It didn't work.

Make sure you don't put the line in the [General] section. It must be in a separate section like this:

[MIDI Out Channels]
Kick=1

I tried that. Down at the very end of the file. It didn't work. Sorry. Any other suggestions.

You've mistyped the section in your ini file. You typed:

[Midi Output Channels]

but it should say:

[Midi Out Channels]
