|

Hi there,
Could it be that there is a mismatch between the db level that the audioM8 shows and uses and the one the Cubase shows and uses? Or do they work differently?
Included you see a screenshot of Cubase and Jamstix with the audio level of that channel set to 0 db. The meter in Cubase indicates that the actual audio level is somewhere around 0db, but the audioM8 plugin shows that the input level is much lower, not even close to 0 db.
Maybe it is just a graphical thing, but when I use Jamstix inside a simple VST host like SAVIhost that doesn't need the audioM8 plugin, the audio level Jamstix uses is much higher. Maybe that is a difference between Cubase and SAVIhost.
My problem is that when jamming live in Cubase I have to turn the velocity response knob all the way up, and even then I can't get enough input to make Jamstix go into higher velocity levels unless I start maximizing the gain from my bass amplifier so much that is begins to distort the sound. I don't need to do this when I use SAVIhost.
Any ideas? Lucky

You can increase the range of the input trim knob by adding this line to the [General] section of your jamstix.ini file:
MaxTrim=400
This will double the amplification range (default is 200). You can specify even higher levels if necessary. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ha, that comes in handy. I'll try that.
Thanks for the help, lucky |
