I built a midi track by hand in Ableton using Jamstix as a sound module. Now, it is playing cymbals when there is no cymbals to be seen on the midi display. I don't know how to erase them because they are not there to erase.
I'm confused.
What do I do? |

The problem is that Ableton Live 5.2 still confuses Midi, period.
It´s no false operation of yours, it simply doesn´t work.
Live 5 confuses the Midi data that´s generated by JS so any concept of Jamstix Midi editing in Live is useless at this time.
I complained about this at Ableton´s a long time (ca 8 months) ago.
Answer from Ableton support was that they´re working on it, but I doubt there will be any change before Live 6 that´s already has been announced for September.
Midi-wise Live is still very immature audio-wise it´s awesome.
If Live is your main or only host, try to remain/edit within JS for now. |
