I need to get a better understanding of the relationship between the following:
Min (input) velocity
Max (input) velocity
Trim knob
Input velocity map
Are all of these parameters involved with how Midi velocity interacts with JS? I read another post that states that the rhythm used also plays a factor. Is this true?
What about if I have multiple Midi tracks, each with different velocity values? Does JS take the average as opposed to giving more consideration to the fact that most of the tracks have a higher or lower velocity? |

Min (input) velocity
---------------------
If the velocity of the input falls below this threshold, Jamstix will not follow it but maintain the velocity of the threshold. So it's the quietest JS will play.
Max (input) velocity
---------------------
If the velocity of the input goes past this threshold, Jamstix will not follow it but maintain the velocity of the threshold. So it's the loudest JS will play.
Trim knob
-----------
Allows you to raise or lower the interpretation of the input velocity. Much like the input trim on a mixing console.
Input velocity map
---------------------
Allows you to make the relationship of input velocity to Jamstix velocity a non-linear one to fit specific play styles. This is much like the Min/Max velocity but goes way beyond it as you get to set the JS velocity for each input velocity value separately.

I don't understand the question. Please rephrase.

VSTi have only one MIDI input. Whatever the host sends to that input is used for analysis. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
