Hi - I Free Jam by putting a copy of my MIDI part in the MIDI track with JS as its output. Works great!

But when I put it in Manual Jam to edit, then play back, the velocity slider doesn't track my part anymore.

I found out more or less randomly that I can get it to track if I turn off "Play Input". I didn't get the sense from the manual that this should affect the velocity tracking, though.

Would someone set me straight on whether this is the best way to have velocity tracked in my situation, and also what it actually means to have JS "...play notes received", as it says in the manual. Dumb question, but what does that mean Embarassed Sorry, I'm just a piano player who's come miles in terms of DAWs, but connectivity is still my weak spot ...

Thanks Very Happy

Yes, you need to uncheck 'Play Input' if you want to JS to track velocity of MIDI data in the Jamstix track.

You'd have it checked to have JS play the data as drum data instead of tracking it as co-players data.
