After I create the drum track I want either using manual or free jam I then try to export the track to a midi file using this function in jamstyx. It never exports a midi file the same length as the song in Cubase. I am using the newest version of Jamstyx and the newest version of Cubase SX3. It creates a midi file with about two to four bars of nothing but blank data box at the start of the song, skips about 10 measures and then creates a file about 2/3 the lenght of the song. I can get around this by creating a midi track in Cubase making Jamstyx its input and then recording the midi output of Jamstyx, but it would be much faster and simpler if I could get the export function to work. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. And by the way I have owned Jamstyx for about two months now and have used it on many projects and still feel the way I did when I tried out the demo. It is the most awsome VST for the money there is and may be the best at any price, for it's performance of what it does and the quality of the results it creates.

Hi Russell,
Thanks for your kind words!

The MIDI export function needs a full run through the song from start to finish to work properly (to not have 'holes'). In that regard it isn't any faster than recording the MIDI output in Cubase.

Thanks for your answer. Wish it would work better but as much as I love this product I am certainly not going to complain about something this little. For the tons of hours this program saves me in programing realistic drum tracks the few minutes it takes to record it to a midi file is nothing.
