Hi all
It's time to archive/backup a few projects (Cubase SL2) but I want to make sure that in the future I can open the projects from the archive and they will play OK.
Can anyone suggest which, if any, of the Jamstix files I should save along with the Cubase project folder. I'm already saving the Jamstix arrangement to the project folder (more as a safety measure) so I guess that's OK but should I also save things like the kit samples used, the output mapping or even the Jamstix version that I used? - JS2 is definitely top of my wish list.
Hope this isn't too dumb a question but I've been caught out by my ignorance of this sort of thing before and had to go searching for backups of old samples or customised banks/patterns that I've since changed or lost for some reason. I want to make sure that all the files needed by the project are backed up in the same place so I can just load'em and press play. _________________ Regards to all

If you want to be really safe, I would save the Jamstix data to a separate FXB via 'Save Bank' in the host and I would also bounce the JS track to audio within the project. Finally, I would keep copies of Jamstix DLLs (i.e. jamstix.dll.161) so if any (unlikely but possible) compatibility issues arise in six months, you can switch between versions easily.
I don't see a need to save kit samples as they are not supposed to change with updates. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
