and expecting to get faster with intel memron.
My question is, and I did a search, last post about it was dated June 05, is when will Jamstix be available for OSX? Or will it never be developed?
The only other option I see for Mac Users perhaps might be ez drummer by DFH group, but is knowhere near as good as jamstix.
So, what is the present development? I also am a user but could not remember my user id and email -
Thanks! |

We are still planning to go Mac but we simply cannot state at what time this will occur. Sorry that I cannot give you anything better than that at this time! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok, thanks but can we narrow it down to 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?
I thought the last post on here was back in June of 05 and with the development of Bass program, one would think Mac would be available to mac users. My feeling, and I am a PC guy, and was mostly pro - amd, is that with the delay of Vista, the price points of the MacBooks, and with the future memron/conroe, etc. That mac user base is going to grow.
As it stands now, as I am sure you know, there are even some users building their own PC's to use Mac OS X.
The workflow just makes more sense then windows xp if you play with OSX for a while. In addition, I am also a beta tester and developer for a few large companies and many are taking a good look at mac, and many more are jumping over. Especially with as I said before, the delay of vista, the hard core requirements to run vista, let alone, the work flow doesn't change that much, as much as it looks like a skin IMHO.! |

PS, let me ask you this then - - is there a way that you know, or a device where one could use the Mac, say Logic, or Pro-Tools and then via ethernet connect to VST plugins on a PC?
That would be a viable option I think users would use! |

JamBassist will be PC-only as well.
There is just no timetable at this point for Rayzoon Mac products. Certainly nothing will be released in FY06. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Another alternative is to use Cubase/VStack and the Steinberg networking protocol that works cross platform. There is an article in the current issue of Virtual Instruments magazine that telle you how to use FX Teleport to do it with a PC server. _________________ John |

Hello,
I just heard of Jamstix today, and am a Mac based producer. I would bet that many Mac heads would be all over a Mac version of Jamstix. at any rate, i would buy today. i'm not at all into all of the hassle of having a PC to go along with my Mac setup, so i guess I just have to wait.
I wonder what kind of possiibities are there with virtualization technologies on the Intel Macs? i.e. it is now possible to run OSX AND WinXP at the same time without emulation. I wonder how hard it would be to route midi & audio to/from the 2 OS's in that scenario. anyone?
thanks,
mr. m |

You can only run 1 OS at a time
I'm not usre how VPC on a Mac could work in this situation though. It might be possible to use bidule on VPC and the Mac, just route the midi through.
