i didnt checked this one yet at home but...
can jamstick handle rhytm with triplets in the kik/snare/hat pattern?
think for example to a waltz...
but triplets are also used for example in fast hard rock/metal drum lines when you have time signature of 12/4 _________________ listen to my music at

Let's define a triplet as a cluster of three notes that covers the same time length as a single note of the next higher note length. For example: 8th triplet is as long as a quarter note. This is important as many musician use the term triplets loosely for any grouping of three notes, which can be misleading. Most drummers therefore call the latter "three's" and not triplets.
Based on our definition, triplets only apply to x/4 rhythms since only then can a 8th triplet cover a meaningful quarter note space.
Jamstix supports triplets on all sounds through its auto-shuffling mode. When 8th shuffling is on, any clusters of three notes will be rearranged to cover triplet note positions. Even without shuffling, you can select triplet patterns for the hihat/ride in the rhythm tab hihat panel. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Going with Ralph's definitions, would this one just be in "threes" rather than triplets? In which case, I think you just set the time sig in your sequencer to 3/4 for this situation and forget about 'shuffle'? (I'm happy to be put right about that... ) |

Yes, it sounds like threes in a 3/4 and a 12/4 (whic is just a 4-bar 3/4 pattern).
Jamstix is currently weak in the 3/4 and 6/8 department as the rhythm tab is 'quarter-centric' so to speak. The threes can be edited but it's not intuitive.
We are addressing this in Jamstix 2. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
