|
|
hey,
i'm pretty desperate right now. i downloaded the jamstix demo and everything went fine, i suppose jamstix is operating properly in cubase. i want to jam through the audio input, so i opened an audio track, monitored it, put the audiom8 as an insert effect. when i open jamstix, i can see, that the red led lights up when i play something through my guitar into the pc and the yellow led lights up as well, when i press the start/stop key (i haven't got a midi keyboard, so i use this programm called "bome's mouse keyboard ... however, it should work, right ?) ... but nothing happens ... jamstix doesn't start a jam. so i watched the video tutorial, which shows, that one should choose a drumkit in the mapping section... when i do that, jamstix asks for a certain .dll which cannot be found ... i think this can't be normal can it ?
i hope that someone can help me with that ...
thanks |

First off, I recommend you don't do start/stop for the time being. Just uncheck the box next to the 'Jam Start/Stop' trigger selector in the jam control panel. Jamstix should now play whenever Cubase plays.
Secondly, if a mapping asks you for a DLL then it must be a BFD or DFHS mapping. Those require you to have BFD (or DFHS) installed on your system. These are not Rayzoon products.
You should get sound when using the default sounds, which means you do not have to manually load any mapping.
Hope this helps! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

that's right ... jamstix plays a beat, when i play a recorded guitar sample in cubase, for example ... this works ... but how do i manage that jamstix starts playing the jam when i start playing live into the computer with my guitar ? i'm sorry, but i really do not get it ... it just doesn't work |

| It's easy: insert audio m8, select freejam and start your host (hit the spacebar or click the play button in cubase). As soon as cubase starts jamstix will also start. |
