|
|
We have just released Jamstix 1.61, which implements these fixes:
- snare brushing is now stopped after an ending
- locked bars now properly clear the crash finish flag
- using the mapping randomizer while playing now suppresses audio during the process to eliminate clicking/stuttering
- 'Load Free Jam' dialog now defaults to the 'mappings' folder
- fixed missing redraws in the arranger in Sonar when using certain functions
- changing the 'Accentuation' slider no longer resets the current rhythms
- fixed freeze in n-Track when selecting 'Swing' character without having BrushPak

Hi,
I have an existing ID that begins with nzq. What info do you need from me to issue a new ID and password. |

I've got a problem here with ID as well.
When I downloaded the e-Pak yesterday, I was given a second ID/Password combination that was totally different to the one I have been using since password protected downloads were introduced. However, this (1.61) download appears to want the first one only and doesn't recognise the new one at all.
Fortunately, I had a record of the previous combination - but I can see a few problems arising for some users. _________________ Graeme

Blindeddie, please check your mail.
Fingers, ePak has its own download ID/PW, which is separate from the Jamstix pair. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes - I appreciate that. What happened to me is that I stored the original PW/ID on the computer, but downloading the ePak meant I had to overwrite it. Then, when I went to download the new release, I realised the computer only has the sense to remember the last PW/ID entered, so I couldn't download the .exe file until I had found the original PW/ID combination.
Which was fine for me, but I can imagine that some users might not have their original combination. _________________ Graeme

Ralph
seems to be a GUI refresh/redraw problem with 1.61 and Ableton Live.
When you move the GUI it takes half of live with it and loose some of jamstix.
If you minimise Live and then maximise its OK until you move jamstix again.
Also but unrelated i'm getting some noise produced on a drum track at 136bpm when voice reduction is at aminimum. It disappears when I increase this. System is Intel 3.2 GHz with 2Gbyte RAM.
Question is would you expect this to happen on such a system.
thanks |

If it's similar to white noise then I would suspect it is 'voice pile-up'. Raising voice reduction is the way to solve this. In fact, with 1.6 and up there is hardly a need to set VR to anything below 6 unless maybe for some jazz where massive ride washing is desired and even then VR 3 should do just fine. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I cannot duplicate the GUI issue in Live 4.1 or Live 5.0.2
What is your version and what are the least steps to produce this on your system? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
