I've noticed an issue with Jamstix and Podium. If I set up a drum pattern in Jamstix and loop it over a couple of bars, it will slowly consume cpu to the point it starts popping/crackling. Depending on the complexity of the drum pattern, this can occur over a couple of minutes for a more complex pattern and a little over 10 minutes for a simpler pattern.
When I initially start the pattern it will bounce between 25 to30% cpu but grows to well over 90%. I've tried the same with other synths and it seems to be okay (no cpu creep). I've tried the same pattern in Traction and cpu utilization stays constant.
I've to posted this over at the Zynewave forum as well.

Does the 'load' display in the Jamstix bottom keep going up? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

There is a numeric display at the bottom of Jamstix with the label 'Load'. It shows the total number of samples currently playing. This number should fluctuate a lot but always go up and down.
If it just goes up or stays constant at 99, let me know. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Gotcha...
Fritz recently added VST2.4 and has been making some changes to how presets are handled. So it could be something in there.
I will check this out tonight and get back to you then. _________________ darcyb62 |

I was able to check this out...
The load number varies between 42 and 52 (I put together a rather busy patter for testing), but is constant at that level.
I did some testing over time and found that cpu increased about 10% for evey 5 minutes. I opened up task manager and as cpu was going up available memory was going down.
Memory leak? _________________ darcyb62 |

Since this only occurs in Podium it would be natural to look for a cause there.
The fact that the load stays normal indicates that Jamstix is not consuming more and more CPU as a climbing load would suggest.
Hopefully the Podium support will have an idea what to look for. If it turns out to be something that we can counteract in Jamstix, we'll be glad to put it in the next update. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I will get back to ritz but just a comment that this only seems to be happening with Jamstix and Podium. I have tried a few other synths in Podium and it doesn't seem to be happening, but then I don't think these other synths hit Podium quite as hard as Jamstix does.
I'll let you know how things work out. _________________ darcyb62 |

Also, please see if disabling MIDI output in the output tab of Jamstix makes a difference. Most VSTi don't send MIDI to the host. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I'm working with Frits from ZyneWave on this issue. Stay tuned... _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The issue is in Jamstix. Not sure why this never reared its ugly head in other hosts but it's definitely not caused by Podium.
The good news: we will have a new beta on Monday that fixes this. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
