Hey gang!
I've had the full jamstix for about a month and thought I drop by and pass on some experiences and ask some questions.
I'm running Jamstix in Nuendo with a PreSonus Firepod. In manual mode I use an old Alesis HR16B (circuit bent!) to drive it. It works great, but not without it's issues.
The biggest issue I've come across is that Jamstix will cease making sound if you try to add VST effects (to any track) while it is running. This can only be fixed (as far as I know) by closing out Jamstix, choosing another program, closing that out, and then reloading Jamstix. It's weird, but it works.
I USUALLY remember to just STOP Jamstix before modifying a track, but you know how it gets when the track is hot and inspiration kicks you upside the head!
I hope that may help someone out there.
Okay, this may have been addressed elsewhere, but honestly, I don't have much time to search for it, so please forgive me my indulgence!
Is there a way to alter the tempo in FREEJAM mode? I didn't see anything regarding tempo in the Help PDF. Am I just blind?
Thanks in advance!!

That's weird. We haven't seen this in any host (but we don't have Nuendo).
Can other Nuendo users confirm this?

Jamstix always follows the host so if you set up a tempo track in the host you can get any tempo changes you want. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Oh, cool. So if i use a click track with the Audio plug in that should do the trick?
I'll check it out!
RE: Nuendo
It's an older version (can't remember which off the top of my head), and it doesn't make it unusable, so it's a minor issue.
Can't wait to try out X9!!
Thanks a lot! _________________ Nuendo is my Huff Bag, VST's are my glue. |

Has nothing to do with audioM8. It's all about tempo commands in Nuendo. You need to get Nuendo to do the tempo as you need it in whatever way Nuendo allows (I'm not a Nuendo user myself). Once that is accomplished, Jamstix will automatically follow. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| well, afaik nuendo works on the same codebase as cubase (so it's kind of a cubase xxl) so setting a tempo track should be more or less the same. |
