AFAIK, Audition does not support VSTi.

That's correct - he needs a different host.

Crap. I'm a college student without much extra money at this point, so if I end up buying jamstix I definitely can't buy another piece of software too. I just bought audition for $120 a little while ago.

This might be a stupid question, but are there any freeware programs out there that I can use along with jamstix? I have a POD XT and I connect it to my laptop with a USB cord. What I'm looking to do is just have a virtual drummer to jam along with, not necessarily record it or anything. Is there a way to do this without having to buy something in addition to jamstix?

thanks for your help.

Consider VSTHost (hosts multiple VSTs) and SAVIHost (hosts one VST, turning it into a stand-alone app) at:

I have found that SAVIhost is losing the PodXT ASIO drivers very easily (which is only important if you want Jamstix react to your guitar playing).

Otherwise SAVIhost works very well, an alternative is Minihost by Tobybear.

You can find it here: http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html

Thanks for all the suggestions. It looks like Minihost is what I'm looking for. I was able to jam along with the PODxt fine with only the drums dropping out occassionally because of the demo version. Looks like I'm gonna buy this. Thanks for helping me out.
