Ralph and everyone,
Would there perhaps be any graphic representations of Jamstix functionality available? Using arrows and boxes to represent data flow, precedence, what operates on what, that kind of thing, and incorporating the basic JS functional elements, e.g. jam types, saves, arrangements, decisions, rhythms. I find this kind of thing useful when trying to get my head around something like JS.

We hope to be able to create a flowchart one day but it ain't trivial and JamBassist has top priority at this time. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I think this is a brilliant idea. I work much better from flowcharts (as an old (and I mean old!) programmer). I'm still not sure what decisions are made during a free/keyword jam versus what gets decided during "playback" in manual jam mode.
Ralph, any chance of something like this? No need to cover all the nuances but having the basic "thinking" process of the brain laid out diagramatically would be brill. |
