When there is an update, does the manual get updated too. Obviously there are a lot of changes and features added, and procedures changed along the way - it's hard to remember them all just from what is read in the forum.
There is one thing that I have come across several times, even thought the amount of time I have had to spend with JS2 has been more limited than I would like. We could use Mute/solo butons next to each limb in the bar edit section. I know we can go to the kit page and do the same, but it would be much simpler if we didn't have to. Often when editing a hat pattern, for example, it needs to be soloed to hear it clearly. Those buttons right there beside the limb would be very helpful!

The manual will get updated with the official update release.
I'll see what we can do about the mute/solo... _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Are the drag&move feature of "grouped notes" built in now, or is this a slightly longer issue to cover. Just curious. |

Event grouping in the bar editor is not implemented, yet. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

One more thing - now that I am thinking about it. I have found myself wanting to copy one part of a bar - just the hats, for example, because I like exactly what the drummer did there, to paste in another bar. I can only see a way to copy the whole bar. Of course the kick /snare may be just what I want in the destination bar and pasting a whloe bar will replace everything. If we could hilight a limb and copy / paste it, it would be great. Or perhaps, if you are able to add the mute/solo buttons as discussed above, then we could mute the limb(s) we do not want to copy, and have the copy function exclude muted limbs. ?? (Or only include soloed limbs if solo is activated).

Nice, It's those little things that make it all so much better.
One related thing that would also be nice: when you click on the Bars number of a part, the part edit window opens and you can edit the amount of bars. When you click on the Repetition number of a part, the part window opens and you can.... er... edit the amount of bars! I have often changed the amount of bars while I wanted to change the amount of reps.
When you click on the rep number you expect the rep number to be selected and ready for edit. No big deal, far from it, just one extra click and you are done, but it's one of those little things... |
