|
|
| Is there an easy way to use Jamstix .rzd samples with other sound modules? Sometimes it would be useful to manually put in a couple of single hits through a sequencer channel (in FLStudio for instance). I suppose I could go through some hoops to render individual hits to wav files, but it would be nice not to have to do that. |

I guess this is not so easy as Jamstix uses multi-layered samples for different velocities.
The best you can do is record some hits in your host and tailor them with an audio editor like Wavelab. |

Using a different sampler you wouldn't be able to get the cool ambience mic mix that Jamstix has, or at least it would be difficult setting up.
There was also a poll a while ago which might interest you:

Jamstix doesn't use much CPU as just a sample player. So load "Internal Silence.rdm", then load the one or two sounds you're interested in (e.g. snare), then select Manual Jam and turn on Play Input and Mute Brain. Then send the notes from your sequencer. You'll get all the advantages of the Jamstix sample format (e.g. ambience and velocity layers). _________________ Dealer for AccuGroove, Acoustic Image, BassLab, Eminence, Muse Receptor, MIDIjet, Rayzoon, and more...

| Thanks. After I wrote that I realized I could just send a note via MIDI for any single hits I needed. duh. I agree, it's better to play everything through Jamstix, but I was having problems figuring out how to get just a particular hit or two exactly where I want them easily. |
