I am an SL1 user, but am trying Jamstix in an SX3 demo. When I send data through midi out to a midi track, the first beat is always missing. Anyone see this before? Any solutions?

Sorry, I meant to post this in the Cubase SX thread. I don't know what happened. Perhaps it can be moved.
Thanks,

Jamstix likes bar one for synching-up so I recommend to leave bar 1 empty. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I've been starting to record in Bar 3.
Also, it does not do this in SL1 |

Try setting audio priority in SX to 'Normal' instead of 'High'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Tried it. No luck.
Thanks for your help. I'm not even getting an attempt from Steinberg to help me with a problem I've had using Groove Agent with Cubase since I bought it almost 2 months ago.
I'd write this off as a Cubase problem, but obviously there are a lot of Jamstix users using Cubase successfuly so there must be a solution somewhere.
Any other suggestions?

If you mute bars 1 and 2 in the Jamstix arranger and have a groove start at bar 3 and record in Cubase from bar 1, is the first beat still missing when it gets to bar 3? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No , if I do as you described, the first beat in bar 3 is present.
Something else interesting - I can only record in bars 1-4.
I know I can only record 4 bars of data with the demo, but SX will not allow me to do that anywhere past bar 5. It doesn't seem to make sense. I was doing it in SL1.

Geoff, that really sounds like you are using the JS demo in SX. Please check if it says 'DEMO' in the Jamstix interface header or ABOUT tab. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The demo has MIDI output and export limited to bars 1 through 4. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I realise that. But I assume that means bars 1-4 of Jamstix. Does that explain only being able to record in bars 1-4 of SX? Again, in SL1, I can output my bars 1-4 of jamsticks regardless of position in SL (ie at bar 10-14, or 24-28, etc.) |

Yes, it explains what is happening in SX. The full version does not have the limitation. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
