Hi!
I want to understand how the jamstix drummers are doing variations in cymbal usage.
Is it possible to force a drummer to use all cymbals if I have a drum set with 4Crashes/Chinas etc.? They seem to use the same ones too often.
Maybe an option to distribute hits more equally...
I must say I'm only using midi files and not the internal grooves, so maybe thats part of the reason.
It would aslo be nice if they would be aware of what drum sounds are loaded and then using only these.

The main way all cymbals are used is the 'Cymbals' accent slider in most drummer models.
If you are using JS2 in drum module mode feeding MIDI to it then it will be limited to whatever is sent via MIDI. One way to vary cymbal usage in drum module mode was introduced in 2.2.1 with the 'Auto Cymbals' option that will send Crash 1 notes received randomly to all available cymbals.
Jamstix is always aware of what sounds are loaded and available. If certain toms or cymbals are missing, it will automatically switch to other available toms or cymbals. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
